Tee Thomas
Founder & CEO, capyr.AI

Tee founded capyr.AI to build the systems that should already exist for the people fixing water, climate, and land — the operational layer that lets a credible program scale without losing what made it credible.

She comes to it from twenty years inside the work. She is also CEO of Quantified Ventures, the outcomes-based finance firm, where she built and led the Water and Climate Finance practice before stepping into the CEO role in 2024. Before QV, she was Water Finance Director for the state of Vermont, where she managed over $500 million in water loans, grants, and contracts — and wrote and helped pass Act 185, the law that expanded Vermont's Clean Water State Revolving Fund to finance natural infrastructure for the first time. The program she stood up under that law deployed $15 million in its first two years, protecting more than 11,000 acres of wetlands, streams, drinking source water, and river corridors.

That's the work she has watched get bottlenecked, again and again, by infrastructure that wasn't built to scale it. Spreadsheets doing the job of platforms. Manual handoffs at every step. People hired to do conservation spending half their days reformatting reports for funders. capyr.AI is the firm she founded to address that pattern directly — to bring serious AI and platform engineering into the mission-driven world that needs it most.

Tee holds an MPH from Des Moines University and a BS from Iowa Wesleyan. She makes any excuse to be outside with her cocker spaniels, and is an amateur mycologist.
